2025 went down in Trans-Wiert S.A.'s history as a time of ambitious engineering and logistical challenges. As a link in the UOS Group, the company realized a series of complicated infrastructure projects – largely commissioned by UOS Drilling S.A. – taking an active part in the development of renewable energy sources in Poland. Construction of modern drill sites and precise transport operations are the foundations on which we base our strategy in the just-started 2026.

Foundations for green energy: 6 key investments

Last year our activity focused on comprehensive preparation of infrastructure for geothermal wells. We realized a total of six drill site construction projects, constituting the technological background for domestic geothermal energy. Our most important achievements include:

  • Bańska PGP-7 – the largest and most technologically demanding well pad with an area of 6000 m².
  • Końskie GT-1 (3600 m²), B³onie GT-1 (3650 m²),
  • Police GT-1 (270 m²) and adaptation of the remaining part of the site,
  • Jabłonna GT-1 (4320 m²) and Radoszyce GT-1 (3300 m²) – these investments are currently in the final phase, and their commissioning is planned for early February this year.

In three locations (Police, Końskie, Błonie) we also built specialized, tight earthen reserve pits. They were lined with welded geomembrane, which effectively secures the ground against fluid migration and water contamination. These pits, with a total capacity of over 8000 m³, serve to safely collect fluids originating from pumping tests.

Engineering vs. Nature: The challenge in Bańska Niżna

The Bańska PGP-7 project became a true test of our engineering competencies. Difficult geological conditions – including the occurrence of peat – forced a complete soil replacement over the entire site area to an average depth of 1.5 meters.

This operation required not only construction precision but also enormous logistical engagement. Due to limited investment space, thousands of tons of peat had to be transported to a storage yard several kilometers away. We used high-class aggregate to harden and stabilize the terrain. Experiences from this location and even more difficult conditions at the nearby Bañska PGP-4 drill site once again confirmed that we can meet the most demanding terrain challenges.

Oversize logistics: Precision in the heart of cities

Parallel to construction works, in 2025 we conducted 12 drilling rig relocations (rig moves). The specifics of geothermal projects, often realized in city centers, place unique demands on our logistics team.

Passage of heavy vehicles with oversize loads through narrow streets, roundabouts, and roads with limited tonnage required perfect planning. We considered the transport of the NOV 2000 HP AC Drive rig from the Bańska PGP-4 site to PGP-7 as the most difficult undertaking. Despite the short distance, moving loads with a mass of up to 50 tons in dense residential housing required the highest craftsmanship from our drivers and logisticians.

Plans for 2026: Dynamics and development

We entered 2026 with a solid order portfolio and new ambitions. Our priority remains the timely completion of works in Jabłonna and Radoszyce and further support of the UOS Group in realizing strategic drilling contracts.

Closing the investment cycle: Dismantling and reclamation

Complementing our activity last year were comprehensive works related to restoring terrains to their original state. We performed site dismantling and land reclamation in the following locations:

  • Bełchatów S-112 – 2630 m²
  • Turek GT-2 – 3200 m²
  • Mogilno M-40 – 4500 m²
  • Otwock GT-1 – 6250 m²

Thanks to these actions, we effectively combine modern infrastructure development with care for ecology and environmental requirements.

In the coming months we plan:
  1. Further modernization of the transport fleet, allowing for even more efficient service of orders in difficult urban terrain.
  2. Expansion of competencies in the field of hydrotechnical construction, based on successes in building retention reservoirs.
  3. Optimization of logistical processes, striving to shorten rig relocation time, which will directly translate to cost efficiency of our clients' projects.

We thank the entire Trans-Wiert S.A. team for exceptional engagement in 2025. Your hard work every day brings us closer to realizing our common goal – strengthening the position of a leader in services for the energy sector.
