UOS Drilling S.A. was the contractor for both wells: the production well Konin GT-1, capturing geothermal waters from a depth of 2,660 meters, and well GT-3 – an injection well which, after the heat is extracted from the thermal waters via exchangers, reinjects the cooled water back into the rock formation to a depth of 2,933 meters. Well GT-2 was drilled in a consortium with Energy Solution Sp. z o.o.
The construction of the heating plant was supported by the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.
We are delighted that, as the drilling contractor, we can contribute to further steps toward clean energy and sustainable development in Poland.
